NOTICE: Rate increase being proposed for January 2027
An increase is necessary to fund ongoing system operations, maintain safe and reliable infrastructure, comply with updated state and federal water quality mandates, and cover rising operational costs.
The Governing Board will hold a public hearing at the BRPWD office on Tuesday 11/10/26 at 5:30 pm
to take comments before any rate changes are formally ordered into effect.

The billing program allows you to create an account to pay your bill online, even autopay if you like.
** Please know that the credit card processing fee is 4% per transaction, or $3 minimum.
**ACH fees are A flat dollar amount based on the size of the transaction:

Payments up to $500 → $3 fee

Payments $500.01-$1,000 → $4 fee

Payments $1,000.01-$5,000 → $5 fee

Payments over $5,000.01 → $10 fee

TextMyGov - Alert System
Buell Red Prairie Water District (BRPWD) has implemented TextMyGov, a convenient and smart text messaging service! This service will enable residents to effortlessly receive important notifications by texting BRPWD ALERTS (lower case also acceptable) to 91896.
After sending the initial keyword, you will be asked to reply “YES” to confirm opt-in. There is also an icon of TextMyGov on this website.
Notification of water outages will continue to be posted on our website brpwater.com and on Facebook.

KEEP YOUR WATER METER ACCESSIBLE
Please trim bushes, trees, and grass that block the way or cover the meter. Unlock your gate if your meter is located behind a locked gate, or provide a key to our District office. We must have easy access to the meter, without our staff having to climb a fence or push through bushes. We usually read meters between the 20th and 24th of each month.

Buell Red Prairie is a small, rural water district. We were founded as a community water district way back in the 1970s, and we continue to rely on the community to help run the district. Our board and special committee members volunteer their time to provide safe drinking water to rural residential customers.
